Dogliani DOCG (formerly Dolcetto di Dogliani) is a red wine made exclusively from Dolcetto grapes grown in vineyards around Dogliani, a small characteristic town in Piedmont, surrounded in perfectly manicured vineyards, just south of Barolo. It is known for being easy to drink, and in fact, historically, it is an everyday wine for locals. Its welcoming aromas are often intense, full of rich black fruit, laced with black coffee and dark cocoa beans. Dogliani DOCG wines have evolved greatly over time – with local winemakers offering gorgeous interpretations aged in oak and offering longer cellarability.
