Pietradolce | Archineri Etna Bianco DOC | 2022 | Wine Enthusiast | 01/05/2024 | 93
Verbiage“The nose is heavy with citrus and stone fruit, but a subtle floral aroma adds elegance. The palate starts out also citrus-forward, before deeper, richer flavors of nuts, honey and herbs emerge. A saline finish brings a pleasant, unifying coolness.” — Danielle Callegari, Wine Enthusiast, May 2024 |

Pietradolce | Contrada Santo Spirito Etna Rosso DOC | 2020 | Wine Enthusiast | 01/05/2024 | 94
VerbiageThe nose is full of bright, energetic notes of cherry, strawberry and blood orange, but undertones of sage and pencil shavings provide depth and nuance. On the palate, a crackle of pepper unveils the bitterness of the orange notes, while textured tannins and bright acid bolster the citrus sourness. — Danielle Callegari |

Verbiage“Citrus blossom, candied lemon peel, mountain flowers and sea-salt aromas drive the nose of this stunning wine. The salty palate is mouthwatering and balances savory and fruit notes perfectly featuring flavors of preserved lemon, tart apricots, lemongrass and fennel fronds. Drink now–2035.” — Jeff Porter, Wine Enthusiast, May 2024 |

Marcarini | Moscato d’Asti DOCG | 2023 | Decanter | 29/04/2024 | 90
Verbiage“Only 5% alcohol, this very gently sparkling wine is fully sweet, with 131g/L residual sugar. It’s a delightfully fresh style though, not in the least bit unctuous. Bright and aromatic on the nose with peach and lemon sherbet, and white flowers. Perfect for summer, it’s a great match for fruit salads, pastries and birthday cake. Majestic has sourced a limited parcel here, so grab it while stocks last. Mix-six price: £11.24.” – Decanter, Amy Wislocki, April 2024 |

Fèlsina | Fontalloro Toscana IGT | 2021 | James Suckling | 22/04/2024 | 94
VerbiageBright and fresh with a lovely energy. Aromas of orange peel, chocolate, cherries and cedar follow through to a medium body, firm tannins and crisp acidity with a crunchy finish. Will age nicely but already delicious. |

Fèlsina | Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia DOCG | 2021 | James Suckling | 22/04/2024 | 93
VerbiagePretty fruit and freshness to this, with a medium body, fine tannins and dark cherry, blood orange and cedar undertones. This is closed now, but shows focus and brightness. Linear tannins run through the center. Drink after 2026. |

Tenuta Corte Giacobbe | Soave Superiore Runcata DOCG | 2022 | James Suckling | 18/04/2024 | 91
VerbiageA contemporary expression, using oak to compress stone fruit and tropical fruit accents nicely. A deep yellow hue, and it’s forward in the glass. One could argue that the salubrious oak is the essence of the wine, making it accessible to the New World chardonnay drinker as much as to the local seeking something different. It is well done and will drink well over the next five years or so. Drink or hold. Screw cap. |

Franz Haas | Manna Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT | 2021 | Wine Advocate | 18/04/2024
Verbiage“From a screw-capped bottle, the Franz Haas 2021 Manna has crushed flint or struck match on first nose, but that hint of reduction often appears in this blend of 40% Riesling, 20% Chardonnay, 15% Gewürztraminer, 15% Kerner and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. The wine settles into a pretty linear pattern of underripe tropical tones, star fruit, crisp pear and grapefruit. A citrusy-grapefruit note plays a bigger role on the palate, with pithy or pulpy tones that dovetail into a streamlined but very fresh finish. This is an ample release of 50,000 bottles.” – Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, April 2024 |
