Arillo in Terrabianca | Campaccio Toscana IGT | 2013 | Wine Advocate | 31/10/2018 | 93
Verbiage“I am a little confused by the Campaccio philosophy, as I am seeing a Collezione, Selezione and Riserva di Cantina version of the same blend (Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) across various vintages. Of these various wines, the 2013 Campaccio Collezione shows the most abundant and well-defined primary fruit. That’s obvious given the fact this is the youngest of this higher-priced series. The 2013 vintage, characterized by a cool and long growing season, also plays an important role in that exacting focus and sharpness. The wine rides over the palate with full waves of generous fruit intensity. ” -Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Oct. 2018 |

Arillo in Terrabianca | Campaccio Toscana IGT | 2015 | Wine Advocate | 31/10/2018 | 92
Verbiage“Terrabianca’s 2015 Campaccio is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This vintage puts the identifying qualities of all varieties on immediate display. This is one of the nicest things to admire in this Tuscan red blend. You get the powerful aromas of black cherry and chocolate that are associated with Cabernet Sauvignon, with some notes that are green or medicinal. At the same time, you can taste that zesty and acidic freshness of the Sangiovese. Merlot adds rich softness. These grapes complement each other very well in the 2015 vintage that provided ample heat for easy and balanced ripeness. There is a hollow moment on the mid-palate, but the wine is otherwise confident in terms of its textural importance.” -Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Oct. 2018 |

Arillo in Terrabianca | Chianti Classico Riserva “Poggio Croce” DOCG | 2014 | Wine Advocate | 31/10/2018 | 91
Verbiage“The 2014 Chianti Classico Riserva Croce puts on a performance that reminds me very much of some of its neighboring wines made in this difficult vintage. The bouquet offers impressive intensity and ripeness (thanks to careful fruit selection), but ultimately the mouthfeel is thinner and more compact compared to warmer vintages. It’s a wine of pretty opposites, especially if you seek balance and elegance over power and brawn.” -Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Oct. 2018 |
