Camphor, exotic incense and pressed rose aromas lead the nose along with whiffs of underbrush and aromatic herb. The enveloping, smooth palate shows dried cherry, blood orange, tobacco and hazelnut set against polished tannins and still-fresh acidity. It’s an impressive showing for a 20-year-old bottle. DWWA 2020 – Gold Cherries, vanilla, damsons and smoke leave fine impressions on the nose. The palate is sleek, velvety, fresh and charming and there’s some brightness and complexity. Long, spicy finish. A class act. Bravo!

DWWA 2020 – Platinum Vibrant cherry and raspberry nose. Rich, spicy and polished with suave tannins and a creamy texture, this is concentrated and complex. There is admirable energy and drive on the prodigiously long finish. It’s quite a beauty!
