A wine that has pushed ripeness to the hilt, ending up with gingery notes of apricot pith and stone fruit, verging on viognier. A belt of vanilla oak offers some compression, but this boasts little of the regional character offered by top examples. A bumptious wine with an attractive fruitiness. Drink now.
