Verbiage“The 2015 Lu Nieddu represents a crazy melting pot of grapes, including Caricaggiola, Pascale, Cannonau, Dolcetto, Barbera and Cabernet Franc. These varieties are planted together in an 85-year-old vineyard site. Given the many varieties that make up the blend, the bouquet does not speak to any one grape. Instead, you are treated to a dark and penetrating bouquet with plum, blackberry and dark spice. The best part is the wine’s delivery, which is clean and direct with no loose ends.
